Ernest Donald Saiz passed away on Jan. 17th, 2015. He was born in Blanco, New Mexico on Oct. 15th, 1936. Enlisted in the Air Force in 1954. He served at Biggs Air Force Base, El Paso, TX. Vandenburg AFB, Lompoc, CA. Moron AB, Sevilla Spain, and Webb AFB, Big Springs TX. He was a C-47 crew chief & later an Air Force Recruiter in El Paso, where he retired in 1977. His distinguished Air Force career culminated in receiving the Marksmanship ribbon, 6 good conduct medals, 4 outstanding unit awards, a Commendation and Meritorious medals. He became a successful Real Estate Broker and owner of Liberty Realtors in El Paso. He supported West Texas Airport, he loved flying and was a proud owner of 2 Cessna's and a Piper. He also loved restoring his 54 Chevy pickup. He is survived by his wife, Carmen, and daughters, Bonnie & Donna, brothers Larry and Steve Saiz, Michael Garcia, sisters Lou Smith, Priscilla Mace, 4 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Rosary will be held on Thurs. Jan 22 at 6:30 pm at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 1399 San Felipe Dr. Boulder City, Nevada 89005. The Burial & Honors will be Friday Jan 23rd at 10:40 at Sothern Nevada Veteran's Cemetery in Boulder City. The address is 1900 Buchanan Blvd. Boulder City with the funeral Mass to follow at 11:30 at St. Andrews church. Reception immediately following at the church.
