Evangeline Mezilson

September 5, 1914 — April 16, 2012

Evangeline Mezilson, 97, a retired Jackson Hospital housekeeper, went to be with our Lord April 16, 2012. She was born November 5, 1914, in Greece, to Elias and Margo Zambos.

Evangeline came to the United States as a young bride, and settled in Chicago, where she raised her family and lived there until she was 63 years old. Upon retiring, she moved to Las Vegas with her second husband, and dwelled here for 34 years. They did much traveling together.

Evangeline enjoyed her gardening, doing volunteer work for church, cooking, and entertaining family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents all of her siblings both of her husbands, George Manis and James Mezilson daughter, Christina Manis stepson, Eli Mezilson and stepdaughter, Elaine Dravillas.

Evangeline is survived by her daughters, Margo Andricopulos and Helen Kutsulis six grandchildren 14 greatgrandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 58 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Church services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 27, at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 5300 El Camino Road.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church.
