Grove liked to complain about nearly everything. We're sure if he were reading this right now, he'd say ""Just get to the point, don't waste people's time with a lot of nonsense."" So with that in mind...
Floyd Dwayne Grove was born January 30, 1935 in Yuma, Colorado. Somewhere along the line the ""Floyd"" and ""Dwayne"" got dropped and everyone who knew and loved him just called him Grove.
After serving a few years with U.S. Navy Air he settled in Las Vegas and worked for the Centel Phone Company for more than 20 years. His passions were his beautifully crafted paintings, jewelry, wood carvings and Native American art pieces; hunting and fishing; and his greatest passion, his wife of 44 years, Marlene.
Grove is survived by Marlene and his five children Kim, Jason, Mike, Shelly and Tony, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
""Okay, that's enough,"" we can hear him say.
We will all miss him very much.
