Freddie Epps

Mr. Freddie Epps was born January 15, 1930 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Marshall and Rosalie Yah Epps. To that union, three children were born. Freddie later moved with his family to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Freddie attended Harrisburg High School where he graduated with honors. After high school, Freddie joined the United States Air Force. He was initially assigned to the local Air Force base in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania before leaving for Germany. He served in Germany for three and a half years before returning to Andrews Air Force Base in Washington D.C. While stationed in Washington D.C., he met his future wife, Marie Radden. They were united in matrimony in June 1962. 

Freddie did a tour of duty in Vietnam and later returned to Moffet Air & Naval Station, in Sunnyvale CA.  After a distinguished career, Freddie retired from the United States Air Force after twenty-four years of service.  Upon retirement from the United States Air Force, Freddie remained in Sunnyvale, California where he was employed with Lockheed for twelve years and Thompson Ramo Woolridge (TRW) for twelve years.  In 1998 Freddie moved with his wife Marie to Las Vegas, Nevada to live out his golden years.

Freddie left his earthly home on January 7, 2021.

Freddie leaves to cherish his memory; loving wife, Marie R. Epps and devoted son Orlando Epps.

Freddie was preceded in death by his son Marshall Epps.
