Gary Wayne Sanderson

After battling cancer, Gary Wayne Sanderson died on July 31, 2015 , in North Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of 70. He leaves behind two sons: Jason and Erick Sanderson: and a grandson, Jonathan Sanderson.

A man with a larger than life personality and even bigger heart was born August 19, 1944 to Jack Sanderson and Lorraine Kensrue. Gary joined the Marines on August 28, 1961. Gary obtained certifications in operating rocket launchers and flamethrowers. He received a Good Conduct Medal as well as an Expert Badge in M-14 rifle. He was honorably discharged on December 17, 1965.

Funeral services will be held at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Friday August 7, 2015 at 9:20am. The family would especially like to thank the Holy Angel Care Home. Rosalie and Red went above and beyond in providing care for Gary. As a result of their love and compassion, Gary was able to die peacefully in his sleep. The man with the ""love or leave it"" attitude will be missed.
