George T. Murray Jr

George Thomas Murray Jr., 84, of Las Vegas, passed away March 11, 2014, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born Nov. 21, 1929, to the union of George Thomas Sr. and Ida Murray. George attended high school in Batesville, Miss., and went on to attend LeMoyneOwen College in Memphis, Tenn. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. George was an avid sports lover and loved to spend time with his family and barbequing. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Ella Mae Murray father, George Thomas Murray Sr. mother, Ida Murray Love sister, Blanche Wilson and brother, Reny Love. He is survived by his daughters, Laura Murray, Gwen Munson, Debra Irizarry, Diane Murray Hall Bill and Donna Davis sons, David Murray and George Thomas Murray III brother, John David Murray Augustine sister, Annie Clyde Garrison Curtis and a host of grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 24, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
