Georgina Damas

Georgina Maria Damas, (Maria) born February 15, 1942, passed away January 23. She was born in Havana, Cuba. Married Eddy Damas in April 1962. She was on one of the first Freedom Flights to Miami, in December of 1965. From Miami they moved to Paterson, NJ, where they had their first child, Eddy, in 1966. Then relocated to Las Vegas, NV. They had their second child, Anthony, in 1968.
Maria learned to deal blackjack from her husband and soon became a table games dealer. She was a dealer at the Rio, from the opening until 2010. Maria enjoyed traveling and spending time on the beaches of various countries. She loved to spend time with her family. Maria's funeral services will be on January 29, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave, viewing at 1 P.M. services at 2 P.M., with the burial following at 3 P.M.
