GERALD GREEN U.S. Air Force, Retired Gerald Morris Green, 87, passed away October 11, 2017, at his home, in Henderson. He served 21 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1971 at Travis Air Force Base, California, after serving 30 missions in B-29's over North Korea in the Korean War and later in the Vietnam War. Gerald was born August 5, 1930, in Asheville, North Carolina, the son of the late Larkin Green and Ora Messer Green. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Shawn Green Smart in 1994; brother, Jack Green; sister, Ruby Israel; and brother, Jimmy Green. He is also survived by his wife, of 62 years, Shirley Cody Green; son, Garry Michael Green, previously of Houston, Texas; granddaughter, Michelle Kent and her husband, Greg; great-grandson, Gregory Kent; brother, Richard Green and his wife, Linda Mosely Green; brother, Ray Green; sister, Margaret Revis and her husband, Homer Revis; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., Service following at noon at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City.
