Gerald Courtney Kukal , 79, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at his home. He was born October 1, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri to George and Marie Kukal. Gerry graduated from Jennings High School in 1961. He continued his education with a bachelor's degree in Geology from Southwest Missouri State University in 1967, and a master's degree in petroleum engineering from Purdue University. He also acquired his Bronze Life Master in the American Bridge through the American Contract Bridge League. Gerry was a loving and inquisitive person who loved the simpler things in life. He enjoyed fishing at the Lake and researching and writing memoirs of his family's history. He was also a master craftsman, who had many skills in woodworking and even built his own house.
Gerry is preceded in death by his parents, George and Marie Kukal; his brother, Ronald Kukal; his first wife, Charlotte Kukal; and two of his stepdaughters, Sheryl Lee and Michelle Platt.
He is survived by his loving wife Nancy Kukal of Las Vegas, daughter Julia Mallett of Vine Grove, Kentucky, daughter, Melony Harris and husband Marty of Bolivar, Missouri, daughter, Angela Jennings and husband Thomas of Ekron, Kentucky, daughter Kathleen Kukal of Center, Missouri, stepdaughter, Shanna McManus and husband Seann of Henderson, Nevada, 14 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and many more family and friends.
