Gertrude Overton

Gertrude Anne Overton of Las Vegas passed away in her sleep on 10 December 2020, at home in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Known as “Annie” to friends and family, was born in Aberdeen, Washington, to Bernard and Gertrude Damey on 2 April 1932.

Anne is preceded in death by husband Air Force Master Sergeant Alton L Overton and their youngest son Alton L Overton Jr, and her older brother, Russell Damey, sister “Baby Marie”.

Anne is survived by sons Donald (Sacramento, CA), William and Daniel (Las Vegas, NV), nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Also, three surviving brothers, Louis Sr, Bernard Jr, and Gerald Damey, all of Washington State.

Anne will be cremated by Davis Funeral Home and will be interred with her husband at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada at a future date. Graveside services will be for immediate family.

The family of Anne wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all those with communications of sympathy. Anne’s favorite charity was St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital fund for those who wish to make a donation in her memory.
