Glenn Merlin Ellsworth, 85, passed away March 12, 2013. He was born in Pocatello, Idaho, December 4, 1927, the ninth of 10 children.
His lifelong enjoyment of sports began early during neighborhood team play, and on teams in high school and beyond.
He served in the U.S. Army after World War II from 19461947, and received an honorable discharge.
He married his sweetheart, Ethel Stanger, September 8, 1956. He graduated with a BS in pharmacy at Idaho State University in 1962, and moved to Las Vegas in 1963.
A lifelong member of the LDS church, he served in many positions, including 18 years as a Las Vegas LDS Temple worker.
Glenn was known for his generosity, quick wit and sharing of countless jokes. He was a caring, devoted, and supportive husband, father, and friend, who will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Matilda Ellsworth and his siblings, Arvilla Yancey, Dean, Reid, Irma Nugent, Heber, Norma, Clair and Eileen Kowallis.
He leaves behind his wife, Ethel sister, Mabelle Falter children, Mark Vivian, Paul, Leslie Keven Cutler and Amy and grandchildren, Tanner, Lauren, and Ian Ellsworth Amelia and Serena Ellsworth, and Kyle, Bryce, Joshua and Aubrey Cutler.
