Gloria Foster, 84, passed away peacefully April 5, 2016, in Henderson. She was born Sept. 28, 1931, the first of four children, born to Nathan Mark and Isabelle Gohs, in the Los Angeles suburb of El Sereno, Calif., where she attended elementary and high school. She was a kind, principled, creative and loving lady. Gloria was loved and admired by family, friends and all who met her. Her son Bob, having honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and was taken tragically too soon. The true love of her life, Jay Foster, passed away a few years back. Gloria is survived by a loving brother, Joe; and dozens of wonderful nieces, nephews, and all their children and grandchildren. She will be forever with us and remembered for a legacy of kindness, generosity and compassion. Her phone calls, discussions and advice will be missed! Whatever the topic, she was there. Always a fine driver, she drove to the very end. Her talents were many. She won first place on a nativity scene she created from scratch (paper mache) when she lived in the Palm Springs, Calif. area. Her mind was cutting edge sharp to the very end. During the ""Radio Mystery Area,"" she always knew the bad guy way in advance. It can truly be said the world is better because of her having been here. Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. -
