Gloria M. Madera

Gloria Marcelina Salomon Madera, of Las Vegas, passed away September 8, 2012. She was born on December 23, 1929 in Chihuahua, Mexico. She resided in El Paso, Los Angeles, Bakersfield, and Gardena, California, before retiring in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Joe Madera, son Ernie Madera, brother Ramon Salomon, and sister Ramona Orozco.
She is survived by her sister Olga Pedroza, brothers Servin Salomon, Hector Salomon, Mario Salomon, Amaro Salomon, daughter Gloria Patzy Soto, son Richard Rick Madera and wife Loretta, step daughters Linda Hernandez and husband Mario, Olivia Carranza and husband Frank, and Suzette Suzie Arand.
She was blessed with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all of whom she cherished.
Special thanks go out to the kind and caring staff at Odyssey Hospice Care, Harbor House.
Gloria was 82 years young, and had a special love for her family, friends, faith, yellow roses, elephants, video poker and dancing. We will forever miss Gloria, also affectionately called Aunt China.
