Harry Hopkins, 75, beloved Father and Grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on November 1, 2020 in Las Vegas, NV. He entered this world on July 16, 1945, in Hebbronville, TX, born to Luther Hopkins and Fanny Thomas Hopkins. He had his pilot's license, and served in the United States Army as a Sharpshooter in the 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment.

He spent many years working in Death Valley, NV as a groundskeeper, before being reunited with his daughter Mary, he then moved to Las Vegas, NV to be closer to his family where he retired. He also proudly served in the color guard.

Harry, loved to read his bible, and loved the Lord Jesus Christ. His favorite scripture was 1 Peter 5:6 which says, "So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time He will lift you up in honor."

He loved to hike, especially in Zion National Park. He and his grandson, Samuel would go camping regularly. Harry also spent his days golfing, playing poker, chess, playing the guitar, singing, traveling, and hanging out with his grandchildren, family and friends. Mexican food was his favorite, it was a tradition to go to Viva Mercados on his birthday pretty much every year with his daughter Mary since their birthday was only 2 days apart. In his spare time you could also find Harry telling old stories of his adventures flying, traveling, and serving in the army. Watching old westerns, and football was another pastime he enjoyed. Harry had a heart of gold, and would always be looking out for everyone around him. He was a simple man, making due with whatever he had, in any circumstance.

Harry was preceded in death by his Father Luther Hopkins, Mother Fanny (Thomas) Hopkins, sisters Becky (Hopkins) Holland, and Katherine Hopkins. Harry is survived by his sister, Carolyn (Hopkins) Bolger; sons, Kevin Hopkins, Paul Hopkins; daughter, Melissa (Hopkins) Bynum & son-in-law, James Clay, and youngest daughter Mary (Hopkins) Davis & son-in-law Chris Davis; his 13 grandchildren, and 6 great Grandchildren; countless aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and many beloved in-laws.
