Hayden Matthew Mispley

December 20, 2000 — March 13, 2019

On March 13, 2019, Hayden Mispley passed away from complications of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He was born on December 20, 2000, and spent his lifetime living in Grass Valley, California. Hayden is survived by his parents, Bill & Tami Mispley, his brother Riley Mispley, his sister Lisa Fortier, Brother-in-law Craig Fortier, nephews Marcus and Calvin Fortier, niece Quincy Fortier, grandmothers Sandy Wright and Jane Mispley, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Joyful words are just words, but when said about a great life like Haydens, they mean much more. Weak in body but strong in mind, Hayden was quick to smile and quick to find joy in a moment. He loved to be with people, and had an amazing ability to make those in his presence feel at ease and cared for.
Hayden had many loves besides his family and friends. He loved watching and going to the movies, and no one knew when the next big movie was coming out better than Hayden. He loved music, video games, basketball and he also had a special love for all animals big and small, especially his cat Maya. Hayden was an active participant in 4-H and showed his pygmy goats at the Nevada County Fair for many years.
Hayden was cared for every day by his parents Bill and Tami and many others. Through 18 years of life, that at the end required constant support and attention, he always had his family. From the moment he was brought to his first home, to the moment he left for his last home, and every minute in between, Hayden was loved.
We are thankful for the life and love he shared with all of us. The fun moments, the gentle words, and that kind face. If you knew or met Hayden, you were blessed for the better. He will always be remembered as a crazy cousin, a fun uncle, a beautiful grandson, an unforgettable brother, and a beloved son. Hayen's dream was to be able someday to ""Run like the Wind"". He will forever be in our hearts.
