Hazel Regina Jones

Hazel Regina Jones, age 65, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on November 6, 2023, in North Las Vegas, Nevada.

Hazel Regina Truly was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Hazel Baldwin and Issac Truly on June 20, 1958.

Hazel attended Booker T. Washington Highschool and earned her associate degree in Sociology from Tulsa Community College. Hazel graduated from Northeastern State University with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work before obtaining a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. Hazel’s passion for helping people and improving the lives of children led her to a career with the Department of Human Services, Hospice Care, and Tulsa Public Schools. Hazel met and fell-in-love with Raymond Jones while the two worked together at Tulsa Public Schools. Hazel and Raymond married in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1988 and remained married until her death. Hazel and Raymond were married for 35 years.

Hazel is preceded in death by her mother, father, older brother Joe, and younger sister Cynthia.

Hazel is survived by her husband Raymond, sons Letonio and Nicholas; daughters Monique and Nicole; stepson Steven; grandchildren Antonio, Olivia, and Aaliyah; step grandchildren Sa’Marri, Sa’Niyah, Steven Jr., and Sa’Mir; siblings Maxine (Julius), Henry “Rahe”, Diane, and Alonzo; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Hazel was known to family and friends as Regina, and to the community as “Ms. Gina”. One thing her children and husband knew for a fact is that she was “imperfectly perfect” for them.
