Hector Rivera

Hector Rivera, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on December 21, 2022, at the age of 72. Hector was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico to Carmelo and Carmen Rivera.

Hector graduated from Leilehua High School, Wahiawa, Hawaii in 1968. He was a devoted Honolulu Police Officer for 18 years. He relocated to Las Vegas and worked as an Auto Claims Adjuster for several insurance companies.

Hector's love of cars became evident during his teen years with his unique paint themes, modifying, repairing, restoring and customizing vehicles. He had an in-depth knowledge of automobiles.

His dedication to his employment never deterred him from lending a hand to his friends needs. Hector was indeed a friend on call.

Hector loved cooking and tending to his plants, especially his beautiful roses.

Although his immediate family lived in different states, he was the "Big Brother" and always reminded them with a profound "I am the Oldest."

Hector is preceded in death by his father Carmelo Rivera.

Hector is survived by his mother Carmen Rivera, his siblings Joe (Renee') Rivera, Lia (Jim) Biond and Leyda Rivera, his daughters Vanessa Ollee and Tiffany Dang, grandchildren Darienn and Jayden, and his Goddaughter Frana Santos.

Memorial Service will be Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 3:00 PM. Held ad Davis Funeral Home & Memorial Park.
