Hector Manuel Rosario passed away on November 12, 2014, in his favorite island of Oahu, Hawaii. He was born on December 28, 1948, in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. He moved to Bronx, New York during his childhood until he joined the U.S. Air Force and served in Vin Long and Nakhon Phanom Vietnam. After his military service, he pursued his education and earned a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Stony Book and later earned his MBA from National University with emphasis in Executive Computer Management. He moved to Nevada in late 1970s where he worked for Summa Corporation, Clark County School District and Clark County, Nevada Recorders Office where he retired as a Programmer Analyst in 2007. Hector was musically talented and enjoyed playing his saxophone, clarinet, guitar, and ukulele. He was a member of the UNLV community concert band, OLLI, DAV Chapter 12 in Henderson, and VVA Chapter 17 in Las Vegas and the VA in Anthem. He was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and best friend to many. Hector is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Cora son Nicholas, daughters Kristina Roman Troyano and Amanda Hertz granddaughter Rhiana Scott brother, Jose Ramon of Florida, sisters Aida Cordova of Colorado and Rafaela Ramirez of Texas. Services will be 4p 8p on Friday, November 21 at Davis Funeral Home on Eastern, and Mass Service at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 22. He will be buried at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive in Boulder City on Wednesday, November 26 at 12:40 p.m.
