Hossein Davoodi

Hossein Saeed Davoodi, age 60, passed away on October 18, 2022 at home from cardiac arrest. Hossein is survived by his daughter Tianna; fiancée Azeen; brother Hamid, sister-in-law Roya, niece Tara and nephew Dara; brother Navid, sister-in-law Elham, niece Assal; mother Mansoureh; former wife Susan. Hossein was born in Tehran, Iran to Javad and Mansoureh Davoodi . Hossein lived in more places and attended more schools than he could keep track of. He immigrated to the US in 1978 to live and attend undergraduate and graduate school in Worcester, Massachusetts, attaining a Master of Science degree in Fire Protection Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He then immigrated to Fredericton, NB, Canada where he built a network of lifelong friends via membership in volleyball and soccer leagues. He returned to the US, settling in Las Vegas, Nevada, taking with him his best friend - his golden retriever Radar. He relocated to Shrewsbury, Massachusetts to marry and welcomed daughter Tianna. Later in life he lived in Charlotte, North Carolina, Sparks, Nevada, Tucson, Arizona, Chanoga, Tennessee, and most recently returned to Las Vegas. In each city he called home, Hossein served the Fire Protection community with his engineering and consulting experience. Hossein had a very kind heart and was funny and humble - he loved animals and supported numerous animal organizations. He enjoyed helping people first and putting himself second - he donated platelets and blood more than 220 times and won several awards from the Red Cross.
