Howard E. Robbins Jr. Buck, 67, of Las Vegas, passed away April 17, 2011. He was born in Collingswood, N.J., and resided in Las Vegas for 29 years.
Buck retired after 39 years with the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 12. He was an equipment specialist and operator. His career spanned work in Thailand, South Vietnam, The Middle East, California, and Nevada.
He was a private pilot and loved to fly his planes. He enjoyed traveling with his family and working at home in his workshop for relaxation.
He is survived by his wife, of 43 years, Marianne sons, Mark, Anthony and Peter his sister and brotherinlaw, Janet and Neil McClurg nephews, Blaise and William niece, Janine and her husband, Josh Murphy and greatnephew, Dominic his sisterinlaw and husband, Adelaide Moreno and Eddie Roman Duran and niece, Nina Fabiana Moreno.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ruth Robbins and his inlaws, Anthony and Rose Lorenzo.
Visitation will be 69 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Holy Sacrament of the Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, at St. Viator Roman Catholic Church, Flamingo Road and Eastern Ave. Entombment following immediately at Davis Memorial Park, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
