Hubert "Sam" Birdsong, 83 of Las Vegas, passed away May 20, 2014. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a retired teamster. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Larry Birdsong; and brothers, Bill and Bob Birdsong. Sam is survived by his wife, of 62 years, Teresa; daughter, Bonnie Cruze; grandchildren, Carrie Black, Brenda Johnson, and Brian and Heather Birdsong; brother, Gene Birdsong; sister, Barbara Arnold; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Tavin, Cody, Rylee, Kalia, Ethyn, Brynlee and Dylann. Visitation will be 4- 7 p.m., Thursday, May 29, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S Eastern Ave. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 30, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City.
