Humberto Garcia

Humberto Garcia "Churis", 74, our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on January 30, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada.  He was born in Puebla, Mexico to Ignacio Garcia and Lucina Jimenez, on December 8, 1946.  On May 30, 1974, Humberto married the love of his life Martina Rincon, and together they shared 46 beautiful years of marriage and had 3 sons, Vicente, Ray and Gregorio.  He was raised Catholic and attended St Anne Catholic Church in Las Vegas, Nevada with his wife and sons.

Humberto made a living as a Farmer in Puebla, Mexico, working in the fields.  In 1976 he immigrated to Las Vegas, Nevada looking for the American Dream for a better life with his wife and son.  He worked for his cousin Moises Garcia, where he worked as a landscaper.  In 1988, he started his own landscaping company, Humberto Garcia Lawn Maintenance.  With only a grade school education, he worked extremely hard and made his landscaping company into a very successful business.  Humberto became a Citizen of the United States on February 14, 1997, and he was very proud of achieving his long awaited dream.

Humberto was a family man and he loved spending time with family and friends.  He enjoyed celebrations, parties, dancing, singing, gambling, and going to the swap meet.  He had many friends all over the Las Vegas Valley most of whom he met through his company, as some of his clients also became his friends.  He loved working and turning clients yards into works of art. 

Humberto is preceded in death by his father Ignacio Garcia, his mother Lucina Jimenez, his three brothers Evaristo Garcia, Pedro Garcia and Alfonso Garcia and his sister Gilverta Garcia.  

Humberto is survived by his wife, Martina Garcia, and their three sons, Vicente Garcia, Ray Garcia and Gregorio Garcia, and his grandchildren, Victor Mejia, Isabella Garcia, Harland Garcia and Vicente Jr Garcia.  

Funeral services will be held on February 20, 2021, as follows:

Visitation 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
