Jackie George Mogannam, 82, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully Friday November 4th. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1934 and moved to Las Vegas in the early 50's. He spent much of his time working at the Nevada Test Site and was a member of Local Union 525 for over 50 years. He also worked on the historic Trans Alaskan Pipeline for six years. During his career he received numerous awards and accolades for his hard work and outstanding achievements. As a young man, Jack served in the army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean conflict. Jack was a humble, selfless, hard worker and an innovative craftsman. Jackie was also an avid animal lover and humanitarian, donating to many charities. Well known in the Las Vegas community for his friendliness, kindness and generosity. He was a great friend to many, a devoted and loving husband and father, who provided the very best for his family. His presence will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Elenore. He is survived by his daughter Tara Mogannam, stepdaughter, Joey Friedman, stepson, Mickey Cox, brother Salem, sisters, Georgia, Maggie, Dorothy, Helen and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Followed by Services at 12 p.m. Burial at 1 p.m. Friday November 11th at Davis Funeral Home and Memorial Park. 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Las Vegas, NV. 89119. The family requests all gifts and memorials are in the form of donations to the Humane Society, Salvation Army or Three Square.
