Jaime Paul Yagin

June 27, 1947 — August 25, 2019

On June 27, 1947,  in Paauilo, Hawaii a little sugar cane plantation camp, Jaime Paul Yagin was born. Weighing only 2 lbs when he was born,  everyone called him “Peanut”.  He was the eldest of 7 children.  He graduated from Honokaa High School in 1965. He joined the Airforce where he became an airplane mechanic.  After the service, he moved back to Honokaa and studied to become an electrician.    He became an employee of Hawaiian Electric Light Company  (HELCO) as a lineman.    He met the mother of his 4 children in 1971 at a friend's house in Honokaa. They married in 1972 and raised 4 beautiful children, 3 girls, and 1 boy.

Jaime enjoyed cooking and on many occasions, he helped cater to friends and family parties.  He also enjoyed playing cards and betting on sports games.    You could always find him sitting in front of his TV watching some type of sports with all of his notes and spreadsheets of each team or player.  Another enjoyment for Jaime was fishing.  He loved taking his kids fishing when they were little.

In 2010 Jaime moved to Las Vegas to be with his children and grandchildren.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren.    He also enjoyed going to the casinos and playing his favorite slot machine Buffalo and Pai Gow but in 2013  he moved back to Hawaii for multiple reasons.  He really missed us.

In August of 2018 that he was diagnosed with Gastric Cancer.   So in October of 2018, Jaime moved back to Las Vegas once again to be with his children and grandchildren.   In his last months, he was able to create many more memories with his family.
