James Samuel Katzen

James Katzen was born on December 14, 1948 and unexpectedly left this world on August 24, 2023. He is survived by his daughters Amy (Jesse) and Roxanne (Josh), and his step-son Ehrich (Heather). He was a doting grandfather to his grandchildren Allison, Trey, Jayma, and Ty; and his step-grandchild Remington. 

James was a dedicated family man, always ready to lend a helping hand, and a passionate champion of various causes. His interests spanned a broad spectrum, including a love for history, automobiles, aviation, and exploring the world. James was an adventurous spirit, finding joy in flying planes, racing cars, scuba diving, and experiencing the thrill of skydiving. 

 A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 15th at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, donations to Three Square, The Commemorative Air Force, or The Nevada Conservation League would be appreciated. 

 May James Katzen rest in eternal peace, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
