James Mongoven

James Leslie Mongoven, 53, of Las Vegas, Nev., died December 13, 2019. He was born on May 6, 1966, in Chicago, IL. James was raised in Twin Lakes, WI where he built many lifelong friendships.

James moved to Las Vegas in the 1980s and graduated from the University of Las Vegas, with a degree in Human Services Counseling. In addition to his Counseling degree, Jams was also a certified phlebotomist. James spent most of his career working in the retail industry, most recently with the grocer Vons.

James always tried to bring a smile to everything he did. An avid fan of the Chicago Bears he was rarely caught without one of his classic Bear hats or shirts!

He was deeply loved by all who knew him and was preceded in death by his father (Thomas) and mother (Rita). He is survived by his 2 brothers (Thomas and Patrick); 3 sisters (Dorothy, Rita and Jennifer); 7 nieces and nephews.

James’s family will welcome friends of James during a memorial service which will be held on December 22 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, Nev.

An additional follow up, celebration of life, will be held in his hometown of Twin Lakes WI in the spring/summer of 2020.
