Janice Thornton Green

Janice Thornton Green, 79, beloved Wife, Mother and friend was called to her eternal resting place on June 16, 2020. She entered this world on November 10, 1940 in Chicago, IL, born to Oliver and Ruth Thornton Green. She is survived by her husband Richard Green.

Janice attended Englewood High School in Chicago, Illinois where she graduated in June 1958. She then married Richard Green on December 24, 1958 and they spent 61 years building a life and family together.

Janice worked for the Social Security Board in Chicago for 10 years and retired in the early 90's.

Janice enjoyed reading, crocheting, and traveling in her free time. She was always the most spunky spirit who made her family her life. She also LOVED Star Wars, Star Trek and Polishing her nails.

Janice is preceded in death by Ruth Thornton, her mother, Oliver Kenneth Thornton, her father, Richard Thornton Green, her son, Jeffery Ricardo Sr., her bother, and Deborah Ricardo, her niece. She has 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, and 4 nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 9:00 am on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Davis Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6200 S Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
