Jaswant Kaur Swatch

Sardarni Jaswant Kaur Swatch was born on October 28, 1945 in Heran, Punjab to parents late Niranjan Singh Heran and late Bhagwan Kaur Chahal. At the age of three, the family migrated from Punjab to settle in Calcutta, where her father owned a business. On March 11, 1961 she married her now late husband Sardar Harchand Singh Swatch. Together they had two sons and three daughters.

Jaswant was a selfless and hardworking individual who always put her family's needs before her own. Rising early each day, she made sure that everyone had what they needed to get their day started. She was a great motivator in the family, always encouraging and motivating her loved ones to do better whenever something went wrong.

In August 1995, she immigrated to the United States of America and this started her journey back and forth from India and the USA for many years until her entire family joined her in the US in 2005. While in the USA, she adopted several hobbies, including gardening, sewing, and embroidery, but above all, her favorite pastime was spending time with her family.

Jaswant is preceded in death by her older brother Sardar Hardyal Singh Heran and her younger sister Sardarni Jarnail Kaur Dhillon and grandson Sardar Zoravar Singh Swatch. She is survived by her five children and 11 grandchildren and younger brother Sardar Baljit Singh Heran.
