Jay Patrick Egan

Jay Patrick Egan Sr., 59, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, July 28, 2013, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Jay was born to the late Joseph and Joan Egan nee McGuire, in Highland, Wisconsin.
Shortly after serving time in the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne, Jay migrated west to Las Vegas, where he resided for nearly 35 years. Jay enjoyed staying active with the Boy Scouts of America, where he and his three sons were involved for the past 20 years. He was also a longtime cigar aficionado and loved riding his Harley. As expected, he was also a diehard Green Bay Packers fan. Jay spent the past 13 years working in surveillance at the Planet Hollywood. Jay is survived by his loving wife, Editha Egan daughter, Joey Egan three sons, Jay II, Jacob and Joshua Egan four brothers, Jan, John, Joel and Jim Egan four sisters, Joann, Jennifer and Jane Egan, and Jill Porter and cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Jay will be 48 p.m. Thursday, August 1, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Church services will be at noon Friday, August 2, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway.
