Jayne Elvira Bako, beloved daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2024. She was born on December 13, 1937, in Amarillo, Texas. She was a devoted fan of the Los Angeles Chargers. Her unwavering loyalty to her favorite team was only surpassed by her love and dedication to her family. All who knew her will deeply miss her sparkling spirit and boundless enthusiasm.

Jayne had an enormous heart and an immense amount of love for her family. She was a proud and dedicated grandmother who never missed an opportunity to support her grandchildren. Whether it was attending their sporting events, school performances, or other activities, she was their biggest cheerleader, always offering encouragement and love.

Jayne found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially her cherished time spent on the family houseboat. Many precious memories were made on the water, where she found happiness being surrounded by her loved ones, soaking up the sun, reading, and enjoying the serene beauty of nature.

Her unwavering faith and dedication to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints were central to her life. Jayne was an active member of the Valley Vista Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she found strength and purpose. She served her faith and community with grace and humility, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Jayne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; siblings, Thelma and Charles; son, Darrell; and grandson, Anthony. She left behind siblings: Mary, Clyde, Gary, and Kay; children: Michael, Cheryl, and John; grandchildren: Lisa, Sarah, Kristy, Joseph, Melissa, Brian, Kyle, and Shane; great-grandchildren: Laysen, Breanna, Landyn, Brandy, Layne, Lincoln, Anthony, and a great-granddaughter on the way; many close relatives and friends. Though she may have left this world, her legacy of love and support will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A celebration of Jayne's life will be held on September 21, 2024. Please contact the family regarding the location and time.
