Jeanette Stoppa

Jeanette Katherine Stoppa, 77, a home maker, of Las Vegas, passed away on February 21, 2015. A 14 year resident of Nevada, she was born August 26, 1937, in Chicago. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, friend, guide and partner to life with all she touched. She was married Sept. 17, 1955 to Robert A. Stoppa (deceased). She was also preceded in death by her son, James R. Stoppa; brothers, Daniel Thomas, Jeremiah, Jack, and Henry; and parents Dorothy and Henry Ganey. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Ann Haynes; 8 children; 26 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, February 26 at Davis Memorial Park on 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Las Vegas, Nevada 89119. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, February 27 at St. Thomas More Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Donations may be made to Wounded Warriors and Hospice of Nevada.
