Jerry Vandiver

Jerry Don Vandiver of Las Vegas, Nevada suddenly passed away on December 23rd of 2022 at the age of 60 due to cardiovascular disease.

Jerry was born September 29th, 1962, in Biloxi, Mississippi, and graduated high school in Pasadena, Texas. After high school, Jerry enlisted in the Marine Corps where he served for 12 years as he traveled to many countries and had countless adventures. Jerry also enjoyed taking college classes for fun and continued learning all his life.

Jerry was a distinctive man that walked to the beat of a different drummer, he loved to entertain others with his unique sense of humor and tastes. Jerry enjoyed music above all else, and he most enjoyed classical and modern rock, his favorite bands include Queen, Tool, and Jethro Tull to name a few. Jerry loved animals, his best friends were his little dog Cecil and his cat Kitty and he enjoyed feeding the birds outside every morning. Jerry had many interests, he was a lover of Genealogy and he studied family history all his life, he was a highly intelligent man and could recite from memory family trees going back generations. More than anything Jerry loved his family, he spent every day with his wife of 26 years Trecia Vandiver, and Jerry had 5 children who he loved very dearly.

Jerry is survived by his wife Trecia Vandiver, his Mother Rosamond O'Bryan, His father Loy Vandiver, and his children Ian Vandiver, Ricky Kelly, Craig Gibson, Sydney Gibson, and Shelby Vandiver, and daughter-in-law Ruth Arjona. Jerry is also survived by his sister Nikki Howard, and his four grandchildren Alexis Vandiver, Tristan Vandiver, Michael Arjona, and Rior Kelly. Jerry is also survived by his best friends and animals Cecil Vandiver and Kitty Vandiver.

Jerry was predeceased by his stepfather Gerold O'Bryan.
