Jimmie F. Richard passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 28, 2022, at his home in Henderson, NV. He lived 81 beautiful years and loved every single minute.
Jimmie was born Oct 3, 1940, and was adopted as a baby in Tonkawa, OK by Elva and Floyd Richard. They taught him love and happiness and raised him to be the amazing father and husband that he was.
Many know him as the King of Caesar’s Palace; where he performed nightly singing Elvis songs to people from around the world. He touched the lives of many and tried to bring smiles to the faces of everyone he met. His style was eccentric; he loved the glam of flashy things. In his younger days, he would get mistaken for Burt Reynolds. He also created an entire Batman & Robin show on skates that toured around.
He attended college in Russellville, AR which led him to become a surveyor for CONOCO Data Sales & Trades. He worked hard and moved up to supervisor for the oil company in Houston, TX. In 1993, after 28 years, he retired from CONOCO and his ELVIS impersonations became full-time. (he even got a pink Cadillac)
In 1976 he fell in love and married Dorthy Jean. They celebrated 46 years of enchanting love together. They have a son named Drew. Jimmie was the best loving husband and a caring and supportive father. He always put his family first and supported and loved them until the end.
Jimmie was a good spirit that enjoyed movies, music, food, the Cowboys, more food, casinos, cars, shopping, making memories, and even more food. He loved to make you laugh by changing the words of songs and singing loudly in the car. Every day was an adventure.
Jimmie is survived by Dorthy, Drew, and his daughter Kim Richard.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor on July 1st, 2022 at Davis Funeral Homes & Memorial Park 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Las Vegas, NV 89119 from 12pm-1pm.
