Jimmie Lee Richardson

January 29, 1965 — January 27, 2021

Jimmie Lee Richardson was born to Lucille M. Richardson and Willie B. Wise Sr. in Greenville, MS. His parents ended their relationship early in his life. When his mother became too ill to care for her children, they went to live with their father and stepmother. Both parents and brother, Andrew, preceded him in death.

Jimmie grew up in the church and accepted Christ early in life. His father became a minister in 1967 and Jimmie and his brother Charlie, were Junior Deacons before they were teenagers. After graduating from Greenville (Mississippi) High School in 1983, Jimmie served in the U.S. Army. Upon discharge, he moved to Las Vegas. He worked for MGM Properties for 20 years, then retired for a brief period. Jimmie then went to work at the Veterans Administration Hospital in North Las Vegas from 2014 until his demise.

Jimmie was a steadfast member of Hope of Glory Seventh Day Adventist Church in Las Vegas. He drove parishioners to and from services in the church bus, delivered sermons, and helped in whatever way he could to further the purposes of the Church.

Family and friends left to first mourn their loss, then cherish his memory: Siblings: Charlie (Glenn) Richardson of Hesperia, CA; Linda Hall of Rosedale, MS; Paul Wise of Las Vegas, NV; Minnie Lee Clay of Tupelo, MS; Lovie Sanders of Las Vegas, NV and J W (Lorraine) Jenkins of Dallas, TX. One Uncle: Arthur (Ellen) Baldwin of Vicksburg, MS; One Aunt: Alice (Sylvester) Rockhill of Pontiac, MI.

The family is so large that nieces, nephews, cousins, and family members after his generation are too plentiful to mention individually. Charlie Richardson, Jr. is given special recognition here because of the strong bond between his and his uncle Jimmie. A non-relative, Juanita Roper, has been "TeeTee" to Jimmie and Charlie and all of the Richardson family in Hesperia, California for more than 20 years.
