Joan ""Joanie"" Katsuda

Joan H. Katsuda, 58 and resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a four year battle with cancer on August 19, 2017.

She is survived by her two daughters, Courtney Cubley and Alexandria Cubley, mother Tomie Katsuda; her brothers Dennis Katsuda, Albert Katsuda, Kevin Katsuda and Paul Katsuda; her sisters Carol Guffey and Noreen Katsuda; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many special friends that she also loved dearly.

Joanie will be remembered for her love of golf, cooking, and umpiring for coed slow-pitch softball. She has lived in Las Vegas for the past 30+ years where she worked in sales for Fidelity National Financial for 15 years. She was kind-hearted, positive, and loved to be with her family and friends as much as possible. Her beautiful smile and big personality will be sorely missed.

She is preceded in death by her father, Shigeo Katsuda, and brothers Edwin and Rodney Katsuda.

Funeral services are to be held on August 25, 2017 at Davis Funeral Home at 6200 S. Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, Nevada 89119. Viewing will begin at 10:00am to 12:00pm with formal service starting promptly at 12:00pm, and a graveside private burial to follow.
