Joaquina passed away on March 18, 2019 in the arms of her loving husband and life partner Roberto Perez Torres of 23 years and surrounded by family and friends. After a long battle in the hospital suffering from Pneumonia and respiratory failure she is no longer in pain, she is now at peace watching over us all.
Joaquina was born August 16, 1952 to Wencesloa Ramos and Maria Dolores Aguilar in Mexico City, Mexico She was a very strong, loving and courageous woman... In 1989 she decided to move her two young sons north across the border to Lynwood, Ca to give them a better life and future. As a single mother she took another leap of faith and moved herself and her boys one more time to Las Vegas, Nv in 1995 where she later met her husband on February 4, 1996 and they instantly new it was faith that brought them together and they were married on January 18, 2001. Together they watched her sons grow into men and give her the grandchildren she cherished so much. Joaquina enjoyed a lot of things sewing, puzzles, music, her gardening, her dogs but what she loved the most was just spending quality time with her family. Family was everything to her. Whether you were near or far if you were family or even just a friend she made sure you knew you were special to her.
Joaquina was preceded in death by her father Wencesloa Ramos and her brother Francisco Ramos. She was survived by her husband Roberto Perez Torres, her mother Maria Dolores Aguilar, sisters Isabella Ramos, Margarita Garcia, brother Martin Ramos, two sons Alex Garcia, Daniel Garcia, beloved grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She is Gone
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
Celebration of life will be held for our beloved Joaquina on March 30, 2019 at Davis Funeral Homes & Memorial Park located at 6200 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89119 10am - 1pm
