Joe W. Dunagan, 84, passed away June 6, 2010. He was born Oct. 17, 1925.
He retired after 30 years with the National Park Service at Lake Mead National Recreation Area as equipment operator general. Joe was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War and a recipient of two Bronze Stars for valor and a Purple Heart. He was also a past member of VFW.
Joe was a devoted husband and father and was preceded in death by his wife, of 64 years, Floye Dunagan, who passed away April 11, 2010.
He is survived by his three children, Don Dunagan, Jerry Dunagan and Susie Kisner daughterinlaw, Susan Dunagan soninlaw, Tim Kisner six grandchildren, John Dunagan, Charlotte Lingley, Shanna Phillips, Jennifer Dunagan, Kevin Kisner and Amy Kisner and two greatgrandsons, Nathan Trutner and Joshua Lingley.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 10, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Interment will follow at 10:40 a.m. with military honors at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Boulder City.
