Joe L Martinez

Joe Luciano Martinez Sr. 81 of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away at 10:35 am on Wednesday, December 17th of 2014 at Kindred Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born November 28th, 1933 to Lazaro and Ramoncita Martinez in Las Vegas, New Mexico. He was a proud member of the UMWA Local 7949. He was one of seven children, three of whom survived by his loving wife Lupe of sixty years and their eight children: David Virginia Martinez, Josephine Martinez, Theresa Ted King, Joe Anita Martinez Jr., Rose Romero, Bernadette James Crosby, Dwayne Sharron Martinez, and Veronica James Clayton. Joe enlisted in the US Military in 1952 and exited in 1956 with rank Private II. Joe and Lupe were married September 28, 1954 in Raton, New Mexico where they raised their family. In December of 1989 Joe and Lupe relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada where he spend the rest of his life surrounded by loved ones Joe was the adored grandfather of 19, greatfather of 21, and greatgreat father of 3.
