John Mark Nocerino passed away on September 9, 2010, at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was preceded in death by his cherished wife Jennifer Nee Ayres parents, Rev. Marc Anton Nocerino and Doris Anne Peterson Nocerino.
He is survived by his beloved son Marc Anton Nocerino Brother Matthew L. Nocerino and sister Mary D. Nocerino and her husband Michael L. Miller. John is also survived by 9 cherished feline family members and Marcs dog Biscuit.
At the time of his death, John was employed by the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency as a Research Chemist and Chemometrician, in Las Vegas.
John was born April 17, 1954 in La Plata, Maryland.
He graduated from high school in Perryville, Maryland and graduated from Loyola College and John Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. John completed 10 years of undergraduate and was a Doctoral Candidate at John Hopkins University.
John was the recipient of numerous awards for his work in research chemistry and coauthored several publications regarding environmental issues.
John and Jennifer moved from Baltimore to Las Vegas during June, 1982, where they remained lifelong residents. Their son Marc was born on October 24, 1999. Marc was their true joy in life and their love for him is eternal. John, Jennifer, and Marc shared a passion for their pets and for animal welfare.
John was also passionate about preserving the environment and respecting nature. He was creative and enjoyed music, painting, and martial arts. He possessed a brilliant mind and pursued learning throughout his life.
Private services were held at Davis Funeral Home in Las Vegas.
