John Fred Schimbeck

John Fred Schimbeck Jr. was born in Cedar City, Utah, Dec. 23, 1949, to the late Johnny and Wanda Schimbeck. Johns friends and relatives called him Sonny or Sonny boy. He was educated in the public school system in Las Vegas. John married Joyce, Nov. 30, 2000. John had four stepchildren. John was employed at the Dunes Hotel from 1965 to 1996. John was also an outstanding mechanic by trade. John is survived by his wife, Joyce Marie KnoxSchimbeck four stepchildren, Emani Morgan, Elizabeth Morgan, Jason Morgan and Jared Morgan his brother, Deon Schimbeck his sister, Joanne Schimbeck three sistersinlaw, Linda Schimbeck of Utah, Ms. Terry Knox and Marilyn Knox of Nevada nieces and nephews, Evan Jolynn Schimbeck, Kirby, Michelle Schimbeck, Mindy Bart Anderson, Aaron Brandy Schimbeck, Gage Kristil Schimbeck, and Katie and Michael Schimbeck greatgrandnieces and nephews, Juan Garnica, Chico Mendes, Julian Mendes, and many others and a host of friends and relatives. Visitation will be at 37 p.m., Friday, Jan. 18, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 19, at Church of Latterday Saints, 3901 E. Viking Road. Burial immediately following at Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 S. 400 E. Springville, Utah.
