John Lester Williams

John Lester Williams, a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024. He was 67. He was born in Olean, NY on July 30, 1957 and raised in Hinsdale, New York, Where he graduated from Hinsdale Central School 1976. He served as the Class President his senior year. Following his graduation, John proudly served his country in the United States Army. After completing his military service, he lived in Port Jervis, NY before settling in Las Vegas in 1990. John had a passion for traveling; he hoped to go to all 50 states. He also loved going to concerts. He loved the group the Eagles. He was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees and the Buffalo Bills. John is survived by his Daughters Jennifer Mayer and her husband Jeff of Florida and Samantha Legan and her husband John of Louisiana; His beloved grandchildren Hayden and Addisyn Mayer of Florida and Wyatt and Riley Legan of Louisiana; his brothers Joseph (Patty) Williams and Mark (Patti) Williams of Zephyrhills, Florida; and sister Deborah (Frank) Splawski of Olean, New York; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph John Williams and Ada Iola Williams and his brother J. Michael Williams. A military service to honor John's life will be held in the summer of 2025 in New York.
