The Life And Legacy Of Johnny Joseph Clay
On May 25th, 1983, our beloved Johnny Joseph Clay was gifted to us. Born to Kimberly, and Johnny, he arrived as their second son. Affectionately known as JJ by family and friends, he could always be found indulging in a host of hobbies. And, with his big personality and charm, JJ could always acquire the affection of those around him. Proving to be quite athletic, there was no sport JJ couldn’t conquer. From competing in the Junior Olympics for track and field to basketball; and even dirt bikes, he excelled in every way.
As JJ grew, so did his fashion and love for cars. By the time he was a teenager, he was undoubtedly THEE best dressed. From his clothes down to the latest shoes, his style was impeccable. Having cultivated a palate for luxury, it was without question he loved to have the best of everything! Even down to his cars, JJ was meticulous. Oftentimes, he was known to buy the rims before his actual car of choice! He was a visionary of sorts. Throughout his formative years and into adulthood, his big personality; charm, and warmth remained. As JJ transitioned into adulthood, his love and devotion to his family and friends, earned him unyielding love and loyalty from those around him.
Eventually, when blessed with his three beautiful daughters, JJ would step into his most prominent title: a Father!
Ja'niyah, Jahnae, and Ka'ziyah Clay were indeed the lights of his life. As a proud loving father, seeing his devotion to his children was always such a pleasure. His unyielding commitment to his girls was unmatched. His patience and love for his girls were all-encompassing and so pure. Fatherhood brought out the best in JJ, and being the very best to his girls was what he lived for. Family was the center of JJ's world. He shared a close loving relationship with his parents (and bonus parents), and his siblings. He was loved and adored by his nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends as well. With the ability to always give you a laugh and a smile, JJ was a source of happiness for us all.
Now, left to carry his legacy of love are his three daughters: Ja'niyah, Jahnae, and Ka'ziyah Clay. His mother and father: Kimberly Redus-Wright and Johnny Clay Sr. His bonus parents: Kenneth Wright and Cynthia Clay. His siblings: Robert, Brittanie, Justin, Jonathan, Jayson, Jamaal, Kenya, and Keanna. As well as a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. It is with every ounce of love, that we send him off to our Heavenly Father.
Our beloved Johnny Joseph Clay, you will undoubtedly be missed, until we meet again.
John 14:2-3 In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Psalms 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever
