Beloved father and loving husband, Joseph G. Bisson of Henderson, NV, passed away at
his home on July 17, 2022. Jerry was born in Lowell, MA, on April 9, 1945, the son of Henry and
Cecile (Morin) Bisson. He grew up in Lowell, MA, and Azusa, CA, where he received his
education. Jerry served in the Army of the 101 paratroopers out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He
returned to California to raise his family. He worked for Sparkletts for over 39 years, receiving
many awards with the company, and also working for McKesson in Henderson.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping and fishing, especially if he could bring
the kids. He was an avid reader, reading two or three books a week. Jerry was known for
helping his neighbors as "a jack of all trades," someone always willing to give a hand without
complaint. Jerry was an excellent cook and loved to BBQ, always with his dog and "best friend"
Sandie by his side. But, what he loved the most was being with his family, a Pepere (grandpa),
and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was the most
wonderful, kindest, supportive, loving husband, dad, and Pepere.
Jerry is survived by his wife Donna M. Bisson, Sister Doris Fowler and husband Roger,
Daughters Angel Hurd and husband Allen of Benson, Vermont, Sandy Brunner of San Luis
Obispo, and Sons, Richard Brunner and wife Marcy of Wildomar, California, and Robert Brunner
of Los Angeles, California. His 8 Grandchildren are Heather Hesch, Erik Brunner, Samantha
Hickman, Nicole Brunner, Lindsay Partelow, Meaghan Csizmesia, Allyssa Winters, Kevin Hurd,
and Daniel Hurd. His 12 Great grandchildren are Sophia, Alexander, Adrian, Jordy, Mackenzie,
William, Margaret, Emilia, Arlo, Abigail, Olivia, and Whitney. Sister-in-law Sherrie Bisson and her
son J.J. Bisson and his children J.P. and Jascel. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive
him. He was predeceased by his parents, a sister, Pauline Murphy, brothers, Donald Paul Bisson
and Eugene Bisson, and a daughter Deborah Kaye Bisson.
A Celebration of His Life gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers,
memorial gifts in his memory can be made to the "A Home 4 Spot" animal rescue.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.
