Joseph J. Marino of Henderson, NV. Passed away Wednesday morning, July 8, 2020.
Joe was born May 1, 1965 in Inglewood, Ca. His father, John H. Marino, preceded him in death last year. His mother, Patricia Marino, currently resides in Pennsylvania.
Joe graduated from Valley High School in Las Vegas in 1983. He attended UNLV eventually earning an associates degree after changing majors several times. He had enough credits for more than 1 bachelor’s degree, however not all in the same field.
Joe was well known for his love of family and everything related. He was often seen tossing the football with his children and all those in the neighborhood. Joe enjoyed cooking and especially making Italian recipes of all kinds. Joe was a very kind, compassionate person who numerous times stopped to help a stranger in need without being asked. He had an infectious laugh that would light up his whole face and make everyone around him join in.
Being an avid sports fan he coached his son in youth football. He was a huge fan of all sports in general while being a diehard Los Angeles Rams and Lakers fan. He was overjoyed to learn that Las Vegas was becoming a professional sports destination with the addition of the Golden Knights Hockey Team, the move of the Raiders to their amazing new Stadium and Las Vegas home, as well as the new Aviator’s baseball program.
On June 24, 1989 he wed the former Brigette Arnold (they later divorced) now living in Florida. They had two children, his son, Vincent and wife Lillian reside in Las Vegas; and his daughter, Gianna, grandson, Ollie and her significant other Zachary residing in Florida.
His brother Richard and wife, Jodie and their children, Enzo, Sebastian and Lola residing in Las Vegas.
He is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles: including Margaret and Herb Beeler in California; Frank and Sue Marino; Rindy Bergey; Marsha Graham and significant other Mike Roelle; Lisa Marino and significant other Gerald Garcia all in Pennsylvania; and Ron and Cindy Marino in Tennessee.
Surviving cousins include: Jim Bergey; Chris Bergey; Chelsea and Ben Haugh; Ciara and Darren Butters all in Pennsylvania, Shawn Graham in California; Andy Sue Graham in NY; Brian and Ming Beeler; Mark and Shannon Beeler all in California; and Keith Beeler in Washington DC.
He will be laid to rest next to his father in the Calvary Cemetery in Clearfield, Pennsylvania.
