Obituary of Joshua Cyr

Joshua Lee Cyr, age 32, beloved son, brother and fellow traveler, quietly transcended his earthly body on May, 16 2021 in his home in Las Vegas, NV.

Joshua was born to Milene and Jim Cyr on November 4, 1988 in Spokane, WA.  He graduated from Battle Mountain High School in 2007 where he held the wrestling state championship in his weight class for two years in a row. He also played on the football team and managed to score a touchdown all while nursing a broken arm.

Joshua was a special part of an altruistic movement, spreading love and hope to his community and had just landed his dream job as an electrician. He was an avid music lover and was sure to offer the “perfect song” for any given moment. With his quick wit and sharp humor, Joshua lit up any room he entered. His contagious, joyful energy brought smiles and laughter to all he encountered. He will be deeply missed; his smile is forever engrained in the hearts of those who loved him.

Joshua is survived by his mother, Milene Cyr and her partner Daryl Dalebout; his father, Jim Cyr and his wife Kristine Cyr; brother and sister-in-law, John and Tabi Cyr; grandparents, Ruth McKee, Ronald and Faye Cyr; Aunts, Jennifer McKee, Nancy Farrington and Sandy Cyr; Uncles, Scott McKee and Alan Cyr; cousins, Justin, Danny and Nathan McKee, Faith, Kali and Devin. To include many extended family members, as well as his fellowship.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday May 23, 2021 from 4-5pm followed immediately by a celebration of life from 5-6pm at The Davis Funeral Home, 1401 S. Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Crossroads of Southern Nevada in Joshua’s honor.
