Joshua Lawrence Gallegos

Joshua Lawrence Gallegos, age 24 of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 14, 2021. His family is shocked and deeply saddened by his loss.

Joshua was born on February 8, 1997 to Aurora and Vincent (Gallegos) in St. Peter’s, MO. After moving to Las Vegas, he graduated from Desert Oasis High School in 2015. Joshua worked at Bass Pro Shop, a Ford Dealership and most recently for Brink’s Security. He was known for his hard-work and dedication.

Anyone who knew Joshua, knows that he deeply loved his family. Joshua cherished his mother and would say to his friends that he would, “always take care of her.” Joshua enjoyed hunting with his dad. Together they spent countless hours watching the canyons for deer and elk at sunrise, creating memories and bonding as father and son. As a brother, Anna and Patricia, will remember his hugs and fun-loving nature.

Joshua would do anything to help anybody. His contagious smile and passion for life will never be forgotten. His family and friends will miss him more than words can say. He is survived by his parents, Vincent and Aurora; his sisters, Patricia, Anna and her husband Nehaad; his maternal grandparents, Louis and Lucille Martinez; grandparents, Len and Louisa Gallegos, the families of six uncles and many close friends.

Since childhood, Joshua was a faithful member of the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Regardless of other commitments, he was known for always setting an early alarm to ensure that he would be on time for Church. Joshua spent many hours as an altar server, assisting the priests with services.

There will be a viewing and rosary at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church Friday, February 26, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 1:00 pm, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, followed by the burial at Davis Memorial Park.
