Kay LaRaine Hurst McIntyre, a longtime resident of Henderson, Nevada, passed away peacefully on Friday the 26thof October 2012. Kay was 67 years old. Born on January 3rd, 1945 in Vancouver, Washington, the family later moved to the Henderson area. On February 22nd, 1963, Kay was married to Clifford Walter Wally McIntyre, in the First Baptist Church of Henderson. For 34 years, Kay and Wally traveled the globe, raising 3 children in the process, until his death in 1997. Kay has always been a participant in any community she was living in: from a student at Basic High School on the drill team, to an Army wife, Kay was heavily involved and made many friends where ever they were stationed. Later life found Kay putting her wellhoned homemaking skills to good use for the community, as she sewed and crocheted her way through blankets, bibs and other items of necessity for those in need of comfort. Kay is survived by her 3 children: Valeria Thomas, Velma and Adam Anita and 9 grandchildren and 4 greatgreat grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Cecil Dorothy Hurst, her bother Cecil Richard, her husband Clifford Walter McIntyre and soninlaw Richard Nolton, Sr.
She will be laid to rest with her husband at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada.
