Kenneth J. Allen, 61, passed away on October 15th, 2024 in Las Vegas. He was born May 27, 1963 to Ernest E. and Myra I. Smith (Cox).
Ken and Lynn have been together for 20 years. They are faithful members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was very active in his church callings as well as many other passions, particularly cruising and traveling. He also loved baseball, basketball, to cook for family and friends, play poker and dining out. Along with Ken’s love for gathering his family and friends, Ken loved and supported St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Ken had a remarkable business career after graduating from Memphis University. Naturally a numbers guy, he specialized in various financial endeavors. He was self employed throughout his career except for his time with the IRS, after which he became an enrolled agent with the IRS helping people and small businesses with IRS defense. He did a great deal of small business & personal taxes and tax planning, a partner in Carrollton Tax Service with partner and longtime friend Debbie. He was also a financial planner specializing in wealth management and private investments. In recent years, he worked as a partner with daughter Christina in Manizza’s Pizza and published his first fiction novel with 4 others in process.
Ken is predeceased by his parents and sister Linda Yowell.
He is survived by his loving wife & eternal companion Lynn Manizza. Kens children (natural, adopted & step); Myra Allen (Josh Ennis), Tami (Richard) Carrico, Nicole Jamerson, Christina (Justin) Martin & Jared (Marie) Baxter. His grandchildren, Josh (Brandi) McIntyre; Cody (Niki) McIntyre; Michael (Sabrina) Mounts; Zachary McIntyre; Lacie Simmons, Jordan Palmer, Stella Martin & Rylen Baxter. His great grandchildren: Brayden, Bentley, Ellie, Raelee, Levi, McKenna, Anna, Jameson & Jadelin.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:30pm on November 2nd at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 1725 E Palora Ave. Las Vegas, NV 89169
