Kevin Wayne Forcade

On Tuesday August 12, 2020 Kevin Wayne Forcade passed away in Las Vegas at the age of 65 after a long battle with diabetes.

Kevin was born on July 7, 1955 in Denver Colorado to Billy Wesely Forcade and Pearl Marguritte (nee Stewart), nicknamed Pat. He pursued science and engineering and received his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas in December 2003. Kevin worked as an engineer in various consulting firms, including classified projects for the U.S. Department of Energy, and was for a while the manager of the Electrical Engineering Laboratory for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Kevin took a strong interest in family - as a mentor, confidant, and supporter to both close and distant relatives.  His home reflected his devotion to engineering – it was filled with partially disassembled computers and various pieces of electronic equipment. He had a fondness for old radio programs from the 1940s and 1950s, especially comedies. Kevin was known for his kind and compassionate spirit.

Kevin was preceded in death by both his father, Billy, and his mother, Pat. He is survived by his brothers Bill Forcade, Sean Rynearson, Jon Forcade, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Kevin will be cremated at the Davis Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Las Vegas. Because of the significant distance for many of the relatives and the constraints imposed by the Covid virus, no in person memorial will be held. However, there is an online commemoration site hosted by the Davis funeral home that will show images, stories, and remembrances for Kevin. All family and friends are encouraged to post pictures, stories and remembrances regarding Kevin. He will be deeply missed by all.
