LaMar Hal Orme passed away suddenly April 21, 2019 in Las Vegas, NV. He was born January 25, 1944 in Levan, Utah to Henry Abraham and Myrtle Leona Moss. He married Patricia Fern Memmott July 7, 1961 in Provo, Utah. They were sealed in the Manti Utah temple on February 7, 1963. Together they had two sons and two daughters they raised in Las Vegas since 1965. He was a lifetime member of the LDS church, willingly serving in various callings including bishop. He is well known for his long career in bicycle sales and mechanics; owning Las Vegas Schwinn Cyclery and later working at Bike World. Other employment included Holsum Bakery, Coca-cola, Sam's Town, and Treasure Island, retiring in 2017. Although he missed seeing bike friends and coworkers daily, retirement brought him pleasure watching his great-grandchildren enjoying life. Hal was a mentor to many, humble in his teachings by example, compassionate in giving freely of anything he had. He loved sharing jokes and stories and had a quick wit and mind for memories and facts. We will miss having him to call upon for any answers. Preceded in death by parents; loving wife of 55 years; sons Timothy LaMar, Phillip Leon (Roxanne); brothers Robert (MaryLou), Fred (Deanne), Dennis (Katie); granddaughter, Desirae Cassedy. Survived by his daughters Pamela (Russ) Cassedy, Tonya (Tim) Laymon; brother Don (Fern), sister Colleen (Dieter) 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be 11-12:45 p.m. Saturday, April 27, with services following at 1:00 p.m. At LDS Chapel, 5100 Sun Valley Drive, Las Vegas. Interment following at Davis Funeral Homes & Memorial Park 6200 S. Eastern Pky. LV, 89119
